Customer Requirement
The customer is a local aggregate supplier in Indonesia, mainly supplying crushed stone for road construction, concrete and other building projects. With demand for different aggregate sizes, they were looking for a complete crushing and screening setup rather than a standalone crusher.
The quarry mainly provides hard andesite, so the equipment needed to handle the material reliably while maintaining the required product sizes. The customer also wanted to keep the production process relatively compact and flexible, as the working area may change as quarrying progresses. A wheeled mobile configuration was preferred to make transportation and relocation between working areas more convenient.
Their main requirements were:
● Process hard and abrasive andesite at around 100 TPH with stable crushing performance.
● Produce three sizes of finished aggregates: 0–10 mm, 10–20 mm and 20–30 mm, with consistent particle sizing.
● Integrate crushing, screening and conveying into one mobile setup, with efficient separation of finished aggregates by size.
● Minimize unnecessary material transfer while allowing flexible relocation as working areas change.
● Maintain a simple equipment configuration for easy operation, routine maintenance and wear-part replacement.
For the customer, having several finished aggregate sizes from one production setup was particularly important, as their orders can vary depending on the requirements of different construction projects.
Our Solution
Based on the hardness and abrasiveness of the andesite, the required production capacity and target aggregate sizes, we proposed a Combined Wheeled Mobile Crushing & Screening Plant integrating feeding, primary crushing, secondary crushing, screening and conveying on one wheeled chassis.
The main production flow is:
Raw Andesite → Vibrating Feeder → PE600×900 Jaw Crusher → HST100 Cone Crusher → Vibrating Screen → Finished Aggregates
The raw andesite is loaded into the hopper and evenly fed into the PE600×900 jaw crusher through the vibrating feeder. With a maximum feed size of 480 mm and a discharge opening adjustable from 65 to 160 mm, the PE600×900 jaw crusher provides robust primary crushing for the hard and abrasive andesite.
After primary crushing, the material is transferred to the HST100 single-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher for secondary crushing. The H1 fine crushing cavity has a 135 mm feed opening and a minimum discharge opening of 10 mm. Its hard-rock crushing capability provides stable secondary reduction for the required aggregate production.
The crushed material then enters the vibrating screen, where it is separated into the required 0–10 mm, 10–20 mm and 20–30 mm sizes. Separate belt conveyors transfer the finished aggregates to different stockpiles, making it easier for the customer to handle and supply materials according to project requirements.
The crushing and screening stages are coordinated to separate qualified aggregates from oversize material. Oversize material can be returned to the crushing stage for further reduction, improving material utilization and maintaining consistent product sizing.
The wheeled mobile layout was also an important part of the solution. Since the customer's working area may change during quarry operations, the integrated plant can be relocated when necessary. This provides greater flexibility than a conventional fixed production setup while keeping the main processing stages integrated.
Key Equipment Parameters
The equipment configuration was selected to provide an approximately 100 TPH production solution, with the HST100 cone crusher's rated capacity range providing a suitable match for the project's target output.

“The plant has been running well so far. It can handle the local stone well, and the aggregate sizes are suitable for our needs. We also like that it is easy to operate and can be moved when we need to change the working area. Overall, it works well for our quarry.”
Conclusion
After the plant was put into operation, the customer was able to process the local andesite into the required aggregate sizes within one mobile production setup. The finished materials can be separated and supplied according to the needs of different construction projects, making the customer's daily aggregate production more convenient.
For this customer, the main value of the solution is its combination of complete processing and mobility. The crushing, screening and conveying stages work together on one wheeled mobile chassis, while the plant can be relocated when the quarry working area changes. This gives the customer a practical setup that fits their current aggregate business and can adapt to different project requirements.
