Project Overview
A cement plant project in Vietnam required a long-distance conveying system to transport crushed limestone from the raw material preparation area to the cement plant. Due to the considerable distance between the two working areas, a conventional series of short belt conveyors would have required more transfer points and additional supporting equipment.
A 17.6 km long-distance belt conveyor was therefore adopted as the main material transportation route.

Conveyor Solution
The conveyor runs through an open outdoor environment, connecting the limestone handling area with the cement plant. The system is designed for continuous transportation of crushed limestone over the long distance, reducing the need for frequent truck transportation between the two locations.
The route passes through relatively open terrain with gentle hills and green vegetation, which is typical of many limestone and cement-producing areas in Vietnam. The outdoor arrangement also allows the conveyor to follow the actual site conditions rather than requiring the material to be repeatedly loaded and unloaded for road transportation.
For a cement plant, this type of long-distance conveying system is particularly useful when the quarry or crushing area is located some distance from the main production facilities. Once the crushed limestone enters the conveyor system, it can be continuously transferred toward the plant for subsequent processing.

For this project, the 17.6 km long-distance belt conveyor was arranged according to the actual site conditions and used for continuous outdoor transportation of crushed limestone. By reducing intermediate loading and unloading, the system provides a more direct and stable material flow between the raw material area and the cement plant.
