Working Principle

The working principle of the handheld laser welding machine is based on the high energy density characteristics of the laser. The core is to generate a high-energy laser beam by the laser generator, transmit it to the handheld welding gun through a flexible optical fiber, and then focus the laser beam into an extremely small spot (power density up to 10⁵-10¹³ W/cm²) through the focusing mirror in the welding gun. When the spot irradiates the surface of the metal to be welded, the metal material quickly absorbs the laser energy and converts it into heat energy, making the metal in the irradiated area melt instantly to form a specific molten pool; at the same time, protective gas (nitrogen, argon, etc.) is used to prevent the molten metal from being oxidized. After the molten pool cools and solidifies, a firm connection between the two metal workpieces is achieved, completing the welding process.
