A sand and aggregate producer in the Philippines needed a compact washing solution for locally sourced river sand. The raw material contained fine silt, dust and other impurities, which affected the cleanliness of the finished sand used for construction.
The customer required a simple and reliable washing machine with a capacity suitable for the existing processing line. Based on the material characteristics and required output, the XSD2816 Sand Washing Machine was selected.
Solution
The XSD2816 was arranged after the screening stage to wash sand with a maximum feed size of 10 mm. With a capacity of 30–60 t/h, the machine uses an impeller-type washing process to agitate the sand in water and separate unwanted impurities.
The washed sand is discharged for stockpiling or further processing, while silt and lighter impurities are carried away with the washing water. The compact design also made it suitable for the customer's existing site and processing arrangement.

Results
After being put into operation, the XSD2816 helped remove silt and other unwanted impurities from the river sand, improving the cleanliness of the finished material. Its simple structure, moderate capacity and relatively compact footprint made it a practical choice for the customer's sand washing application in the Philippines.
